How can I get a coupon?
Coupons can be found in our flyers, which are frequently distributed in the communities we serve. They can also be found on our website, under Current Promotions, and on our Facebook page.

 

Where can I find your Flyer?
Flyers are frequently distributed in community newspapers, in selected areas. We also make them available in each of our stores, and online.

 

How long has Solutions been around?
Our first store opened in Whitby, Ontario, in 1999.

 

Is Solutions a Canadian company?
Solutions is a privately owned and operated Canadian company.

 

Does Solutions deliver customers’ orders?
Currently, we offer delivery service for online orders. However, we are developing plans to deliver purchases made at our stores. Stay tuned for updates on this initiative.

 

What happens if I find out that a product I purchased is defective after 30 days?
After 30 days, we will offer you a store credit note for the amount paid, provided that the product is still available in our stores. However, if you do not have a receipt, we will offer you a credit note for the lowest recorded price of the item, within a 90 day period.

 

Does Solutions have a satisfaction guarantee for their customers?
Absolutely! Solutions wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We feel confident that you will love your organizational solution. If not, we will return or exchange the item within 30 days. For more information on our Return Policy,click here.

Can I use a gift card when shopping online?
Currently, gift cards are only available for purchase in our stores. However, we are working to make this feature available online.

 

Can I redeem a credit note received at one of your stores online?
Merchandise credits can only be redeemed in our stores.

 

Do the coupons given to me in the store work on your web store?
At present, coupons are valid in our stores only. However, later this year, you will have the option to redeem them on our website.

 

If I purchase something on the webstore, can I return it to a store?

Can I create a wishlist online?

Can I place an order online if a store is sold out of an item?
Absolutely, provided that product is available for order at our webstore.

 

Do you charge a shipping fee for orders placed online?
Yes, a shipping fee is charged. The amount is dependant on your order.

 

Do I have to pay shipping charges if I want to return it?
Online orders are subject to shipping charges; however, you may return purchases made online to any Solutions store near you, without incurring restocking fees or additional shipping charges.

 

Are all products found in your stores available for purchase through your web stores?
Currently, we offer a good selection of our products online. However, an even wider selection of products is available in our stores.

What steps does Solutions take to keep my credit card information safe and secure?
The security of your personal information is just as important to us as it is to you. We will protect your personal information with appropriate safeguards and security measures. Under their contracts with us, all of our Service Providers are required to maintain your confidentiality and may not use your information for any unauthorized purpose. If we are required to provide information, by law, we take the necessary steps to verify the authenticity of the lawful authority requesting the information, and we disclose only the information that is legally required. We review our procedures and security measures regularly to ensure that they are properly administered and remain effective and appropriate for the sensitivity of the information.
Solutions has implemented state-of-the-art security measures, in order to protect you against loss or unauthorized use of customer information that is in its possession, notably information concerning your credit card. Solutions store servers use the latest information-transmission technology (Secure Socket Layers, or SSL), which render its transmission highly secure. Where do you ship to?
We ship anywhere in Canada. Sorry, we currently do not ship to addresses outside of Canada, including the United States.

 

Who Do You Ship With?
How long does it take to receive orders?
Orders are processed and shipped within 48 hours, provided that inventory is on hand. UPS provides the following guidelines for delivery times:
• Local Area and GTA – 1 day
• Regional – 1 to 3 days
• National – 2 to 5 days

 

How will I know which day to expect the delivery?
You will be notified by e-mail, with a tracking number, when your order has been shipped from our warehouse. With this number, you can login to the UPS website at www.ups.ca and track your order from our warehouse to delivery at your door. Because it is difficult to predict the exact date of delivery, there should be someone available during regular business hours -- at the recipient's address – to receive the parcel. In the event that no one is there to receive the package, UPS will leave you a notice, indicating that they attempted to deliver your order. The notice will provide you with further instructions and delivery options.

 

How do I determine my shipping charges?
When you have chosen your merchandise, choose the "Check Out" tab and enter your personal mailing information. The cost related to your address will be displayed, along witjh your order. Shipping charges are based on the regular retail price of all items, before tax.

 

How Are Shipping Rates Calculated?
We believe in rewarding our best customers by giving them more discounts and offers. That’s why we use Flat Rate Shipping, instead of charging you by the size and weight of your package, like our competitors do! We do this to offer our customers the most enjoyable shopping experience possible.

We never charge extra fees unless the item you order exceeds regular weight/dimensions. If this happens, we will notify you before charges are made to your credit card.

 

Am I able to send an item as a gift to someone else?
Yes, you can easily send a gift to someone. Simply fill in the address of the person receiving the gift in the shipping information section. Only you will be contacted if there are any problems with the order. Make sure that the person receiving the gift knows that a parcel is being shipped. They will have to sign for it once it arrives. These instructions also apply to orders where the billing address and shipping address are not the same.

Does Solutions sell gift cards?
Yes, we do. Simply visit any of our store locations and our staff would be pleased to assist you. To find the location nearest you click here.

 

Does Solutions gift cards expire?
No, under the Consumer Protection Act, Solutions gift cards do not expire. For more information, please visit http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/english/elaws_regs_050017_e.htm.

 

Can Solutions gift cards be used at any of your store locations?
Yes, gift cards can be used at any of our 14 locations.

 

Can Solutions gift cards be reloaded?
We are currently developing plans to offer this service and will keep you updated.

 

Can I purchase a gift card online and have it shipped to another address?
Currently, gift cards are only available for purchase in our stores.

 

What if I lose my gift card?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to replace the lost or stolen gift card. Please call 1-866-599-5100 for more information.

 

Can I still use my paper gift certificate?
Yes, you may use your paper gift certificate. Although no longer available for purchase, Solutions paper gift certificates are welcomed in any of our stores.

 

If I don't use my gift card, will I be charged any fees?
No, Solutions will not charge any non-use fees on gift cards that show an available balance.

 

My card no longer works. Can it be replaced?
We ship anywhere in Canada. Sorry, we currently do not ship to addresses outside of Canada, including the United States.

 

Can I return an item that I have purchased with a gift card?
Yes, simply return the merchandise, along with your original receipt, to any Solutions retail location, and we will issue you a store merchandise credit note.

 

What is Solutions’ gift card return policy?
We would be happy to refund your gift card purchase, as long as you have the original receipt and you are in possession of the actual gift card.

What is the standard size of a drawer (for kitchen, closet, bathroom)?
There are no "standard" drawer sizes. Drawer sizes vary based on the age of a building, or on whether the space was redesigned or renovated. As a result, it is very important to measure a drawer before making a purchase. If possible, take the drawer, a template of the drawer (parchment paper works well), or a drawing of the inside of the drawer – along with its measurements – to any Solutions store. We can help you to find a drawer organizer that best suits your needs.

 

What type of storage do you offer for under the bed?
Solutions offers storage units that fit in spaces up to 6” high.

 

Can products be transferred between stores?
Yes, we would be pleased to transfer products to a store near you, within 1-2 weeks.

 

Can your under the sink slider be mounted, so that the half shelf is positioned in reverse?
Yes, it can. However, the “opening” would be positioned to the back of the cupboard, which would not impede the operation of the slider.

 

Do you have to use the grid to mount the Schulte® garage hooks?
No, the Schulte® hooks can also be used on a slat wall, or they can just be mounted directly onto the wall. Hardware is included.

 

Are your water bottles and food containers BPA free?
Yes, all Solutions food and beverage containers are BPA free.

 

Where do your products come from?
We continuously source unique and innovative products from around the world, including Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.

Do you install closet systems purchased at your stores?
No, we do not offer installation services. However, our closet systems are so easy to install, we believe you can do it yourself.

 

Do I need to have a designer design my closet?
We would be pleased to design the closet of your dreams with our 3D closet designing system. Just bring in your measurements and we’ll take it from there.

 

Do you sell closet doors? If so, what sizes do you offer?
At present, we do not sell closet doors.

 

Will I need an appointment to have my closet designed?
Appointments are not necessary; however, we recommend that you call us in advance, to ensure that one of our staff members will be available to help with your request. To find the store nearest you, click here.

 

Can we design and order closet systems online?
Currently, our closet design system is only available in store.

 

If I order a closet system in your store, can it be shipped to my house?
At present, we do not offer delivery service. However, our modular closet system is very compact and easy to transport.

 

Do I have to pay for your closet design service?
Absolutely not. Our staff would be pleased to help you design your closet, free of charge. To start, click here to download and print a copy of our closet planner, and then take the completed planner to any of our stores.This will ensure you have everything you need to have your closet designed.

 

Can we give you our closet dimensions by phone or e-mail?
Although we would be pleased to accept your dimensions by phone or e-mail, we recommend that you download our Closet Planning PDF, to ensure that you will have everything you need to plan your closet.

 

Do you have anything that will fit my sloped wall?
Definitely. We can design storage to fit almost anywhere. Just bring us the dimensions of the area you wish to organize and we can provide you with a 3D image of your newly designed space. This will include all prices and a list of required parts.

 

How long does it take to design a closet?
There is no standard time. This service depends on several variables - including size and your individual requirements.

What colours are your closet systems available in?
Our wire metal closet system is available in white and nickel, and our shelving system –including our boxes – is available in white, espresso, maple and cherry.

 

What sizes and styles do you offer for closets?
Sizes and styles are customized to meet your individual needs.

 

Does the closet system need to be mounted on studs?

Is there a computer in store where I can design my own closet?
Yes, all Solutions stores are equipped with a computer that will help you to design your closet.

What sizes do the sliders come in?
Our sliders come in a variety of sizes. To learn more, click here.

 

What sizes of cutlery trays do you carry?
Solutions carries a variety of fixed and expandable cutlery trays. We offer “cut to size” cutlery and utility trays. For hard to fit drawers, we offer modular trays or drawer dividers to suit your individual needs.

 

Do you have any chrome spice sliders?
While we do not carry sliders that are specifically designed for spices, we do carry a wide variety of sliders that can be used for this purpose.

 

Do you carry corner cabinet lazy Susans?
We do not carry hard mounted Lazy Susans; however, we do offer many solutions for these units, such as tiered shelving, wire racking and portable turn tables.

 

Are two-tiered sliding organizers with individually moving parts available in your stores?
Yes, Solutions offers a wide selection of sliders with shelves that move independently. Click here to see what we currently have available.

 

Are there sliding organizers that mount on each side of the cupboard, versus the bottom?
Currently, we only offer sliders that mount to the bottom of cupboards. Nevertheless, we are always on the lookout for new and innovative solutions, to meet your needs.

Do the chrome shower caddies rust?
Our stainless steel, aluminum and plastic shower caddies will not rust, as long as they are maintained and the exterior coating does not chip.

 

Do you have shower rods that are more or less than 9 feet?
We do carry chrome rods and flanges. We can cut the chrome rod to any size you need.

Can I take this on the plane? What are the allowable dimensions for carry on baggage?
Size restrictions vary between airlines. However, all bags carried at Solutions fall within the acceptable requirements. Solutions also carries a wide variety of bottles and containers for transporting toiletries, which falls within the guidelines.

If I need a large quantity of packaging for my wedding, how long would it take for them to arrive at a selected store? When would they need to be ordered?
Many of our items are available locally and can be shipped within a short period of time. However, some items are imported from overseas and, therefore, can take several months to arrive. We recommend that you speak with our store staff regarding the particular item you need.

What size garbage/recycling bins are acceptable for weekly pick up?
Standards vary by municipalities. Therefore, we recommend that you check with your local municipality office, before making your purchase.

 

What size garbage bags fit these cans?
We carry liners for several of our trash bins. For the others, there are a variety of commercially sold bags available on the market.

 

Can removable garbage pails be replaced?
Although we do not carry removable garbage pails, we would be pleased to order them at your request.

Will this over-the-door hook fit my older/newer door?
Our hooks fit securely over standard interior doors, which are generally 1-¾” or 2” deep. Solutions also offers a selection of adjustable hooks that will fit thicker doors.

Why is your Urban Wire shelving so costly, compared to your competitors?
We are very proud of the quality of shelving we carry. Ours is heavy and durable grade of material, designed to last for a very long time.

 

What is the weight capacity of the shelves?
Each shelf is capable of holding up to 200lbs.

 

Are there instructions on how to assemble your shelving systems?
Yes, assembly instructions are available in each our stores.

Most of our file organizers are available in letter size only. However, some can be used for both legal and letter size folders, depending on how the file folders are placed in within the organizers.
